Ka Mua Ka Muri is a week-long series of events marking the anniversary of Cyclone Gabrielle which devastated the East Coast of the North Island in February 2023.
Events include: a research symposium showcasing insights from community-based research projects conducted in response to the impacts of extreme weather and climate events on the community; a collaborative communities celebration of regional initiatives through creative expression; and a regional roadshow inviting participants to connect directly with communities across Tairāwhiti.
